Dry docking is a perfect opportunity to optimize your Alfa Laval Fuel Conditioning Module (FCM) and extend its lifetime. It’s also the easiest time for major modifications, such as upgrading to today’s control generation. We can upgrade the viscosity control of any fuel supply system, or we can upgrade the entire control cabinet of your existing FCM. As the EPC 50(B) control system grows obsolete, we recommend moving to the modern EPC 70, which secures the availability of spare parts and compliance with today’s material regulations.

Control system upgrade – EPC 50(B) to EPC 70

Built with modern hardware and compliant with material regulations, the EPC 70 ensures continued operating stability and the availability of parts as EPC 50(B) electronics become obsolete.
Viscochief 3 upgrade
Secure correct fuel properties – despite today’s complex fuel mix – by replacing existing viscosity control with Alfa Laval Viscochief 3. Using high-end automation based on FCM Oil software, Viscochief 3 automatically handles up to four different fuels and the changeover between them, as well as the automatic cooling of distillate fuels.
